Jody Cane, MA CCC-SLP, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Hearing & Speech Sciences from Ohio University in 1999 and her Master of Arts in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2001. She is certified nationally by the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association (ASHA), licensed by the states of California, New York, & Ohio, and holds an education certificate through the Ohio Department of Education.
Jody built her career as a pediatric speech-language pathologist in a multi-disciplinary private practice treating children with varying diagnoses. She develops individual treatment plans for her clients and includes parents, caregivers, and school staff in the planning of treatment. Her history of working in the field has given her the experience of treating children with a variety of developmental disorders, from early intervention through school age.
Jody's primary speciality is Childhood Apraxia of Speech. She is recognized by Apraxia-Kids as having shown understanding of and experience in treating children with CAS.
